Boomster...bringing Boomers together

There are two options for updating your public profile link.

The first option is go to your My Info homepage. On this page, click the "Change Profile Link" link towards the top left of the page. This will bring up a text box where you can enter your new public profile link and click "Save".

The second option is to go to your basic info account page and edit the "Profile Link" field. Be sure to click "Save Changes" so the changes are applied.

Remember that your public profile link can only be alpha-numeric characters.

To stay signed in to Boomster.com check the "Remember me on this computer." checkbox when signing in. Be sure not to click the "Sign Out" link as well when leaving the site. Just close your browser and you will be remembered on your next visit to Boomster.com.

Checking remember me will keep you signed in for 30 days only on your current computer.

To upload your own profile photo, start off by going to the Edit Photo page within My Info.

Take a profile picture of yourself with a digital camera and download it to your computer.

The recommended dimensions are 200px by 200px. If your photo is not the correct size, we will resize the photo automatically for you to the best of our ability without distorting the original image.

Hit the 'Browse...' button below to select your photo and then hit 'Upload'.

This should upload your own profile photo. You have the options now to delete it and revert back to the default image or upload a new image.

Here at Boomster we do everything we can to help prevent emails wrongly going into your spam folder. However, many email providers are using filtering systems that accidently put safe emails in the spam folder. To ensure that all Boomster emails make it to your inbox, add @boomster.com to your safelist/whitelist in your email client/program.

Go to My Info (top left hand part of screen), scroll down to Invitations, click on Invite. Complete name, email address, and message to your friend and push Submit. You can resend or withdraw your invitations. Or you can send a Quick Invite to a friend to join at the bottom of your home page.

Open up a second Internet Browser window, Microsoft Outlook, or wherever your address book is. This way you can toggle between the Boomster website and your address book. Highlight the email address in your address book, right click and choose Copy from the Edit menu, and then go to Boomster and Edit Paste it in the email field.

Your public profile link is how other Boomster members can access your profile page. An example of this is http://boomster.com/people/sara. To edit this, click My Info, then Basic Info. On this page edit the Profile Link field and then click Submit.

Yes. If you want only your contacts to see your profile, then go to My Info (top left hand side of the screen), click on Privacy Settings, then click on either Public or Private. You can also decide if you want your location private.

Your individual personal information will not be shared with sponsors or advertisers by us. All information will be collected in aggregate. You may decide whether or not sponsors may contact you by clicking onto Privacy Settings on My Info. Boomster takes your privacy very seriously, and encourages you to read our Privacy Policy.

When signing in to Boomster, be sure to check the 'Remember me on this computer' checkbox. Then when leaving the site, close your browser or browser tab by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner. Next time, you come to boomster.com, you will be signed in.

We encourage you to complete as much information as you can in order to participate more fully on the site. However, you can complete only some sections and not others.

In the Topics area of the Discuss section you’ll see a link to “Start New Groups.” Start a Discussion into that group, making the subject line the title of the group you’d like to start, and then a brief description of what might make it interesting. Then, if five other Boomsters reply in support of your group we’ll set it up. It’s that easy.
